3. How IVON uses personal information

IVON may use personal information to operate the Platform; create and manage accounts; verify identity; process bookings and payments; administer cancellations, refunds, credits, reschedules, and chargebacks; communicate with users; provide customer support; detect and prevent fraud, abuse, unsafe activity, and legal violations; personalize content and search results; improve product performance; analyze usage; send transactional messages; send marketing communications subject to applicable consent rules; comply with law; and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

IVON may also use personal information to investigate incidents, safety complaints, Covered Reservation Issues, and payment disputes; enforce policies; maintain insurance or risk programs; conduct audits; develop new features; and protect the rights, property, safety, and business interests of IVON, users, vendors, clients, and third parties.

7. User rights and choices

Depending on the user's location and applicable law, users may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict certain personal information, to object to certain processing, to appeal a privacy decision, or to opt out of certain marketing communications or targeted advertising. IVON may need to verify identity before responding to a request and may deny or limit requests where permitted by law.

Users may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the message, but IVON may still send transactional or service-related communications.

8. International transfers and children

IVON may process and store information in the United States and other countries where IVON or its service providers operate. Those jurisdictions may have data protection laws different from those in the user's place of residence.
